Not everything at the show costs a fortune
We all know you can spend a LOT of cash at the IGA Perth Royal Show. But showbags and rides asides, there's actually a lot of free entertainment for kids and their parents.

Here are 10 of the best free things you can see or do at this year's show:

The animals
It's what the show was originally all about and there are so many animals to see at the show. Check out the cows and watch them being milked in the Dairy Pavilion, see the horses in the main arena and get up close and have a cuddly with lots of fluffy friends at the Creatures Great and Small Pavilion and the City Farmers Animal Nursery.

Police exhibit
The police exhibit is always one of the best ones to check out. This year you can see a high-tech concept motorcycle and have your photo taken on it.

Titan the Robot
Check out this show for kids of all ages outside the Shopping and Lifestyle Pavilion everyday at 12.15pm, 2.15pm and 4.15pm. Titan is a 2.4m mechanical monolith with his own electrifying style of entertainment. And he's performed around the world.

Pirate Man Fire Show
Every day between 6pm and 7pm, the explosive, exhilarating and entertaining Pirate Man Fire Show will keep you glued to your spot on the street outside the Shopping and Lifestyle Pavilion.

Shane St James
Australia's famous hypnotist will need some volunteers at the show. Will you be game enough to be hypnotised in front of a big crowd. Check him out daily the SmokeFree WA Family Fun Stage at noon, 2pm and 4pm.

Be amazed by the talents of Duo Platschkov Bulgarian Acrobats as they juggle, drum, contort and clown with breath-taking Baltic brilliance. Stefan Platschkov and Alina Platschkova will present their amazing act daily at the Entertainment Theatre at 11.30am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.30pm.

Kiddie Snow Land
Kiddie Snow Zone
No matter what the temperature is, here's your chance to frolic in snow. Head to Kiddie Land and check out the winter wonderland waiting for the under-12s in the Kiddie Snow Zone. It's open daily from 10am - 6pm.

Catch some axe-wielding action at the Isuzu D-MAX Woodchop Arena as Australia's best wood choppers test their skills.

Adam and Selina

Former Australia's Got Talent duo, Adam and Selina, have been captivating audiences worldwide with their amazing magical illusions. They'll be performing Grand Illusions daily at the Entertainment Theatre at 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

The IGA Fireworks Spectacular will start with a bang each night in the main arena at Claremont Showgrounds. Everyone in the crowd will be given free Thunderstix to blow up and help make the loudest Mexican wave ever before the fireworks show.
