Celebrate & stand proud at Fair Day 2019 in Perth
The Dictionary explains "pride" as a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction, a confidence and self-respect of oneself and one's own achievements. Wikipedia explains "pride" as an emotional state derived from perceiving the value of a person or thing in a positive way. From Aristotle to George Bernard Shaw, "pride" is a profound virtue, one we should all feel proud to own for whoever we are and for whatever we do.
On Saturday 2nd November 2019, Pride WA 2019 Fairday" – Save the Date, is expected to draw thousands of people to Hyde Park in Perth in support of the Pride Community, which includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer (LGBTIQ) and other people of diverse sexuality and gender. Fair Day kicks off PrideFest 2019.

Cost of entry is $11.53 for Concession & Members, $16.75 for non-members, $6.31 for children aged 5-17 and under 5 years free. Please remember if you are a member or a concession holder, you must show your identification at the gate. Sale of tickets close on Thursday 31st October, so get in quick to not miss out.
This year's event will provide plenty of grassed area for families to bring a picnic, blanket and chair and relax with family and friends while listening to the music and performers. A larger licenced area will also be provided this year. The event commences at 11.00 am and concludes at 6.00pm.
Founded in 1989, Pride WA's mission is to encourage, recognise and to promote the vast diversity in culture and the arts by our sexually gender community as well as giving them a voice to showcase their talents. This encouragement improves self-esteem, health status and self-pride in the public sphere. Pride WA is run by a committee of volunteers, which are elected each year.
