Once a month a group of amateur and professionals get together for a fun themed shoot designed to help those who are interested to learn about the industry, meet people in the industry and start building their portfolios. Each month the location and theme changes to add variety. Themes of the past have included recycled fashion where models were encouraged to wear thrift clothing or outfits made from recyclable goods. Masquerade was shot inside His Majesty's Theatre and the crew took to the streets of Northbridge for an alternative fashion theme. Coming up soon are pin up, circus, heritage and many more exiting concepts.

A typical day at this event would involve meeting a make up artist at their chosen location for some primping and prepping. Then you don your costuming and head over to the shoot. Registration takes place and people mix and mingle, getting to know one another. Then the organiser of the event steps forward, separates you into groups and sends you off with an easy to follow map of the locations you'll be shooting in in the surrounding area. Those who are new are normally teamed up with the more experienced. Then the photoshoot gets underway. Models pose and photographer's snap and when the day is done it is off to the pub for a relaxing drink before home time.
Within a few weeks, you should start receiving photos from the event and you'll be very pleased with the results. The group chats on Facebook regularly and you can gain sneak peeks there as well.
The event is limited to over 18 year olds and is open to all levels from brand new to professional. Males are encouraged to do some modelling too! The ladies don't bite and are more then happy to pose with you.
