You might have a goldmine in your wallet
Money, money, money. Must be good fun to collect special coins and notes. Money makes the world go around and having that special, elusive piece that is worth thousands would come in handy for everyone. The Perth Numismatic Society is bringing an incredible Coin and Banknote Fair to South Perth for one day, so if you want to get into collecting coins and notes, then this is for you.

Every country has their own coins and notes, of course. And in every country, there are lots of common coins. And then there are the rare ones. Usually, there are printing errors or rare features that make your special coin worth something.

At this Fair, there are going to be coins and notes for sale. Some of these coins and notes are from the pre-decimal era, and some international coins and notes as well. You will also have the chance to purchase medieval and ancient Greek and Roman coins. Some stalls will also have tokens, medals and medallions.

Many people may have already collected some special pieces, but if you don't know how much they are worth, then you can get these pieces appraised. If you have inherited your collection, this is the perfect opportunity for you to get it valued. You might be sitting on a gold mine and not even know it.

Entry is only $2, but make sure not to buy your ticket with a valuable collectable coin! Kids can enter for free and they can even collect their own special "Kids Coin". You can't pre-purchase entry, you can only buy a ticket at the door. This fair is on Saturday, August 13th, between 9am and 1pm.
