Join in a walk with the annual March against Melanoma on 23 March. This fundraising walk, which is organised by Melanoma WA will be held at McCallum Park off Taylor st in Victoria Park.

This non-profit organisation, provides information and support to those affected by skin cancer. Australians have a high rate of skin cancer. With endless information about the dangers of staying in the sun too long, many people are still denying the damaging effects of too much sun which may lead to melanoma.

The event starts late afternoon at 4.00pm and finishing at 6.30pm. Entry fee is $25 for adults with students and pensioners $20.

There is a choice of a 5km walk or 10 kilometre commemorative fun run. Trophies will be awarded in categories of fastest male and female 10km runner.

There will be personalities on site including Freo Docker and Melanoma WA Ambassador Hayden Ballantyne. Hayden will be available for autographs.

Heidi, Will and Woody from 92.9's breakfast show will be the M.C's on the day.

Entertainment includes face painters, balloon twisting, games and giveaways. Also FREE skin checks will be offered by Lions Cancer Institute .

Food and Beverage will be available for purchase.
