Yagan Square is a place to have fun, meet, play, eat and shop - it is the city's new heart! It has cafes, pop-ups, restaurants and shopping and an amazing lighting display on the underside of the canopies and the iconic Digital Tower. And now it is having a Twilight Market as well!
Bringing together a highly curated selection of stalls with handmade artisan products, this will be fun shopping and browsing - why not start buying presents for Christmas already, to ease the burden of later in the year!
You will be able to look over all the stalls, enjoy good food from the businesses at Yagan Square and see the best that WA has to offer. You can do all this in one easy access, central location in the Perth CBD.
There will be atmosphere galore here with the emphasis being on handmade. There will be gift items including crafts, jewellery and homewares. With over 70 stalls to browse from and also free children's activities, this is a Twilight Market you will not want to miss.
In consideration of the proud Noongar culture, the Square was named after an infamous Noongar leader and warrior, who is well known for his influence within the community. The area at which Yagan Square is now located has been an important one for the Noongar people for a long time.
At this venue, you will also see a very impressive statue by Tjyllyungoo/Lance Chadd, Trish Robinson and Stuart Green.
There are also many other public artworks and native gardens, green spaces and lookouts that could be compared to New York City!
The first Twilight Markets will be on Friday, 24th August 2018, from 4.00 pm until 9.00 pm. This gives all people who work, the chance to come into the city, or if working in the city, to come straight from work for these fabulous markets!
They will be situated at Yagan Square, Corner of Wellington Street and William Street, Perth.
The three dates for these Twilight Markets are as follows:
