For the third year running, Perth will play host to comedians from around the world and fans can treat themselves to a myriad of hilarious, side-splitting comedy shows. The Perth International Comedy Festival will be held at several venues in and around Mount Lawley, and will run from the Thursday 1st May to Sunday 18th May, 2014.
Proudly supported by the City of Stirling, this event brings together some of the funniest comedians in the world for a brilliant three week festival, jam-packed with both Australian and International acts.
With over two hundred hours of comedy and one hundred and fifty performances, the festival gets bigger and better each year. The 2014 Festival Program features performances from the likes of Julian Clary, Paul Foot, Craig Hill, Reginald D Hunter, Wil Sylvince, Bob Sagat, Jeff Dunham, Stephen K Amos, Sammy J and Randy, Felicity Ward, Frank Woodley, Tom Gleeson, Hannah Gadsby and many more.
The Perth International Comedy Festival shows are quickly becoming the must-see events of the cultural season, offering something to suit all tastes. A wide array of popular comedians will tickle your funny bone, from well-known house-hold names, to up and coming comedy talent. There are also a wide range of comedy styles on offer, and they are all rapid fire funny.
Various venues around Perth will present shows, starring these comedic geniuses, during the festival. Find comedy gold at such places as the Astor Theatre, the Regal Theatre, the Crown Theatre, Thatchers Cider House, The Velvet Lounge, The Fly By Night Musicians Club, 720 ABC Laugh Locker, the Octagon Theatre, Perth Arena and Coopers Astor Lounge.
Tickets prices for the Perth International Comedy Festival vary, depending on the show. Tickets for the Perth International Comedy Festival will be available from the Festival Box Office at the Astor Theatre, by phoning the Box Office on 9370 5888, on-line, or at the door of the venue on the night of the show. Tickets do sell out fast, so it is a good idea to book in advance.
