Do you really remember the 1960s?

The Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host a Movie Fundraiser at the intimate Backlot Studios, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 6:00pm. Sink back into the comfort of your luxury leather seats, within this 50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema, and enjoy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

The proceeds of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood go directly to the Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, to purchase of food and toiletries for the homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Drama/Thriller/Comedy

Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) a faded television actor and his stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt), struggle to find meaningful work during the final days of Hollywood's Golden Age. Bizarrely, Rick lives next door to Roman Polanski (Rafal Zawierucha) and Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) whose futures will be forever altered by members of the Manson Family. Kurt Russell narrates this mix of nostalgia, fact, and fiction in a thought promoting movie with attitude. Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, who peppers this film with prominent actors in cameos playing 1960 celebrities (including Steve McQueen, Bruce Lee, and Mama Cass) keeps you glued to the screen.

Time is short, book now

You can purchase your tickets here, at just $25.00 per person and enjoy Tarantino's trip back to the1960s while helping to support the homeless in Perth. The Backlot Studios, 21 Simpson Street, West Perth. Moreover, all proceeds from the movie will provide essential items to feed the homeless.

By seeing the needs of the homeless and those at risk of being homeless, the Perth Homeless Support Group Inc (PHSG) adopts a 'hands-on' approach acting in a way that makes a difference to their situation.

Making a difference every Sunday

PHSG volunteers meet every Sunday from 9:30am, at Wellington Square, East Perth, where the homeless can collect Care Packs (food and toiletries), and seasonal items (beanies, socks, blankets). If you would like to donate or contribute items for their Care Packs, please email support@perthhomeless.org.au to arrange drop-off and pick up.

Surprise yourself and see how many ways you can assist this small charity with a big heart. Why not volunteer, and discover how you can put your skills to work and make a difference?

Bottled water needed for the homeless

PHSG feed, clothe and support over 200 homeless people each week. This is a massive effort by their volunteers, but with homeless numbers growing each week, and with Summer on the way they are especially in need of bottled water.
