Plush leather seats, within a 50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema, will ensure a comfortable virtual reality roller coaster ride with the sci-fi adventure movie 'Ready Player One'. The Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host a special movie fundraiser night at the intimate Backlot Studios, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 6:00pm.
Additionally, the door prize and a raffle on the night give you a chance to win some great prizes. While doors and bar are open from 6:00pm, please note that the movie starts at 6:45pm, on the dot.
The proceeds of Ready Player One, go directly to the Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, that seeks to assist those who are homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.
Book now to ensure you are ready for this one
You can purchase your tickets here, at just $25.00 per person for a great night out at the movies, while helping to support the homeless in Perth. The Backlot Studios, 21 Simpson Street, West Perth. Come as a group and enjoy this virtual ride together. Moreover, all proceeds from the movie will provide Care Pack items to feed the homeless.
Ready Player One
Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan), the star of Steven Spielberg's 'Ready Player One', assertion that 'These days, reality's a bummer', sets the tone for a science fiction action adventure movie where the 'avatar' has all the fun (or maybe not). This view is somewhat at odds with my understanding of virtual reality, sitting in a darkened movie theatre for a few hours, and happily emerging into the light of the real world.
