Comfortable leather seats, within a
50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema, rates a perfect 10 for a comfortable ride with
Simon Baker's surfing movie '
Breath', filmed in our very own seaside town of Denmark. Based on Aussie writer
Tim Winton's book of the same name, recounts the story of a former professional surfer who decides to mentor two teenagers who are consumed with surfing. The ideal movie to celebrate WA DAY Long Weekend.
The
Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host a special movie fundraiser night at the intimate
Backlot Studios, on
Saturday, June 2,
2018, from
6:00pm.
Additionally, enjoy nibbles prior to the movie plus a door prize and a raffle on the night. Although the doors and bar are open from 6:00pm, please note that the
movie starts at 6:30pm..
The proceeds of '
Breath', go directly to the
Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, that seeks to assist those who are homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.

Breath
Starring Simon Baker (also the director), Elizabeth Debicki, Samson Coulter, Ben Spence, Richard Roxburgh and Rachael Blake in a coming age drama set in Western Australia during the 1970s. Tim Winton himself provides the voice-over, somewhat akin to Kevin Arnold's (Fred Savage) flashback recounting of his life in the Wonder Years. Watch the movie clip, I think you will get the gist.
