The Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host another delightful Ladies Movie Arvo Fundraiser at the intimate Backlot Studios, on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 3:00pm. Enjoy a Little fun, in the comfort of your plush leather seats, within a 50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema.
The proceeds of Little go directly to the Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, that seeks to assist those who are homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.
Additionally, each lady will receive a delicious bag of gourmet popcorn and bag of goodiesincluded in the ticket price of just $30.00 per person. Heaps of door prizes, the ever-popular raffles, and nibbles ensure a PHSG event is always a blast. The doors and bar are open at 3:00pm, and the movie starts at 3:45pm.
Little, is an American fantasy comedy film directed and co-written by Tina Gordon. Staring Regina Hall, Issa Rae, and Marsai Martin, and follows an overbearing boss who is transformed into the child version of herself. Martin serves as an executive producer on the project, and at 14 years old is the youngest person to ever hold the title on a Hollywood production (which is a story in itself). The trailer gives you an excellent snapshot of the movie's frenetic pace, and I suggest best enjoyed in company.
By seeing the needs of the homeless and those at risk of being homeless, the Perth Homeless Support Group Inc (PHSG) adopts a 'hands-on' approach acting in a way that makes a difference to their situation.
You can make a difference
PHSG volunteers meet every Sunday from 9:30am, at Wellington Square, East Perth, where the homeless can collect Care Packs (food and toiletries), and seasonal items (beanies, socks, blankets).
You will be surprised at how many ways you can assist this small charity with a big heart. Why not volunteer, and discover how you can put your skills to work and make a difference?
You can help by purchasing and donating vouchers that PHSG can hand out to the homeless. The most used vouchers are from Dome Coffee or a Target Gift Card, and you can either have them sent straight to PHSG, or purchase yourself and then post or deliver to PHSG.
You can help by having a donation box at your business.
As a registered charity all donations to PHSG over $2.00 are tax deductible.
A little reminder
Book now and ensure your seat and not only a bag of gourmet popcorn, but a bag of goodies, sets the scene for a fun arvo at the movies, for only $30.00 per person.
See the need and make a difference, without prejudice
