Event: -
Find plants from leading nurseries and even rare ones
This is a huge festival and one that any gardener or anyone remotely interested in gardens and the latest products must attend! There are some fabulous exhibitors and each time I gom I find lots of new and fascinating products that I must buy.

The Perth Garden Festival will be held from 11th to 14th April 2019, from 9 am to 4 pm. This year it will be staged at McCallum Park, Victoria Park.

Each year there are so many exhibitors and this year is no exception.

The following is a list of some of them:

Witherspoons Pure Skin Care - their products are moisturisers, which are great after gardening. They last longer and have no additives in them.

Tulips With a Difference - have spring flowering bulbs. They have over 60 different varieties and also stock daylilies and rhubarb crowns.

The Ultimate Steel Hose - sell a kink proof, puncture-proof, lightweight and an ultra-flexible hose with durable Ultimate nozzle.

Renovator Transforma Ladder - many of us have seen this on television and it looks just great! This ladder gives you up to 35 different ladders in one portable, easy-to-use ladder. It is the safest, functional and slip-resistant aluminium ladder in the world.

Succulent Planet - have some fabulous succulents which are, of course, water-wise.

Springy Feet - are the ultimate comfort footwear. If your feet and joints could be helped by reducing impact, then try the Z-Coil. This will give you great support and comfort as well as relief from lower body impact related conditions.

Redrock Nursery - are a boutique nursery specialising in carnivorous plants and rare and exotic foliage.

Stihl - sell products with innovative ideas. They have been operating for some 85-plus years now and are known for top quality products.

Perth Hills Veggie Company - they produce heirloom vegetable, herb and flower seedlings.

No Frills Fertiliser - this is organic and sustainable soil management. It was developed by Anthony Quinlan, an organic agronomist and all products are certified by Australia's premier organic certifier NASAA.

Melville Rose Garden - this long-established rose nursery is one of the best in Perth. They sell all types of beautiful roses and even just a visit to this garden is delightful.

Martin Jaine Sculptures - Martin Jaine is a master craftsman, who has made some fabulous metal sculptures. Each piece is unique and made from reclaimed materials.

I find it very satisfying to go out and pick whatever I need fresh from the garden. If you do not have an established garden to do this, you can visit the Kleenheat Outdoor Kitchen and join gardening experts from 'All the Dirt Podcast' and chefs for Street Food Theatre cooking demonstrations. They will show you heaps of home-grown recipes, samples and give prizes across four days. See the program at this link.

At the Richgro stage, you will be able to get all your questions on your garden answered. There will be representatives from the WA's Horticulture Media Association experts there to help your thumb turn green!

Some of the presenters for this will be:
Sue McDougall from 6PR's 'Garden Talk'
Sabrina Hahn from 'ABC Gardening'

They will be giving you advice on attaining a green thumb each day, from 10 am! There will be prizes and giveaways happening daily.

Show gardens at this event are always stunning to behold. I find they spur me on to run home and start attempting to improve my small back area! If you are looking for some inspiration for your garden, then look no further than the Perth Garden Festival. Here you will see it all, from small areas to bigger gardens. Each year, talented landscape designers showcase their skills by inventing impressive garden and outdoor living displays.

I could easily spend a whole day at the Perth Garden Festival as it has such interesting ideas and displays. You can now book online for entry into the festival and click on this link to see prices and make those bookings. This will save you time on the day.

There is more information you might like to read about before you go, as I find it is a good idea to plan for this event unless you have unlimited time and can stay all day. Click on their website to find out more.
