I'm a literature student living in Perth and I like to write about various topics.
The Fringe Festival is back for another year and judging by the crowds last week it looks like it's going be a huge success. One glance at the program tells you everything about the festival - it's exciting, chaotic and a little bit intimidating.
For those who don't know-Fringe is a performing arts festival combining comedy, theatre and cabaret from Australia and international performers. It's one month of chaos-a celebration of people, the strange and usual.
But how do we know what to see or do? That's a difficult question and is one that I can't really answer with certainty. My advice is to take a risk. Look at the program and book a ticket, show up at the venue and hope for the best. That way you have no expectations prior and can really immerse yourself in the festival.
After all, what's the worse that can happen..... It's Fringe. Go on enjoy yourself!
