It's often easy to forget the true meaning of Easter – it's not all about chocolate, bunnies and fluffy chickens – but the will help you remember.

Join people from all over Perth in this Easter Sunday event on 1 April as they come together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This free event will start at Stirling Gardens, located at the corner of Barrack Street and St George's Terrace, in Perth at 2:30pm and will end in front of the Wesley Uniting Church on William Street.

Supported by community broadcaster 98.5 Sonshine FM and Christian youth and community organisation Fusion Western Australia , this colourful Easter Sunday Parade will feature vibrant music, live performances and a whole heap of balloons! Join the celebration as the parade spreads Easter cheer through the streets of Perth.

Easter Sunday is considered one of the most important days in the Christian calendar, with the resurrection of Jesus Christ reflecting a central idea of Christianity. Even if you haven't attended a service for a while, there is no better time than Easter to join in the celebrations, with all welcome at the Easter Parade.

You can watch a video of the parade here .

Come along and join other Perth Christian families in remembering the true meaning of Easter - there's plenty of time for chocolate when you get home.
