Give your palate a workout at this favourite beer festival
Perth's craft beer scene has exploded in recent years, so it's no surprise that the state's largest beer festival, the Perth Craft Beer Festival, will make a return for a fifth year.
Be prepared to give your palate a taste workout, as over 55 breweries and cideries make their way to the Ice Cream Factory in Northbridge. There will be plenty of different beers and ciders to choose from, including specially brewed Festival Beers, the best names in Lager at LAGERLAND, plus wines, cocktails and whiskies.
Taking place over four sessions from Friday, 16th August to Sunday, 18th August, the Perth Craft Beer Festival will include an unmatched lineup of events, entertainment and activities, including:
The Feral Brewing Company Biggie Bar, dance floor & RTRFM 92.1 DJs
The Pirate Life Brewing barber shop and live tattoo artist
The Silent Comedy Club
Famous Silent Disco
Rides, games, DJs and dance floors
Family Fun Day on Saturday, 17th August
The Family Fun Day will be held during the Saturday day session from 11am to 3:30am. Set up in the 'Craft' Corner, the kids can enjoy face painting, glitter tattoos, craft activities, and giant bubbles, along with a silent disco and show rides.
Just some of the craft brewers set for the festival include Young Henrys, South Fremantle Brewing, Pirate Life Brewing, Mash Brewing, Little Creatures, Core Cider and Naked Apple Cider. See the full list here.
One of the highlights of the festival is The Pirate Life Brewing barber shop and live tattoo artist! Have a drink, get some Dutch courage for some new ink or a crazy new haircut.
No festival is complete without food. You can taste a selection of gourmet foods from Hawt Dawg, Smokies Barbecue, Mary Street Bakery and more.
