We in Perth love our coffee and have some of the best small batch roasters in the country to show for it. From cuppings (structured coffee tastings), buying fresh beans, or just having your morning latte made from the freshest coffee possible, here are three boutique roasters you can visit in Perth:
Tucked to the side of the immensely popular Laika Cafe in Lathlain, their in-house roastery becomes a cellar door for coffee from 8am-12pm every Saturday and Sunday.
As the new kid on the block, you can expect delicious and forward-leaning single-origin coffees amongst informative and casual chats with their head-roaster, Seb. You can even take your coffee to a table in the cafe and finish it over brunch.
After busily roasting throughout the week, the stylish and delicious Twin Peaks roastery opens each Saturday from 7am-12pm.
The roasting staff get behind the coffee machine to make some truly beautiful coffees. While a Dank Pizza Party popup keeps you fed, ping pong and great vibes make for a great start on a Saturday morning.
Their new Rivervale Cafe showcases the best of their coffee, but their Mt Hawthorn Roastery and coffee bar is where it all started, and where you can still go to taste incredible coffee while watching the roastery operate in real time.
Open until 12.30pm from Monday to Friday and until 2pm on Saturdays. This little cafe retails their exceptional coffee beans and keeps the Mt Hawthorn community caffeinated all throughout the week.
