It's the beginning of the Lunar New Year coming soon. The Year of the Rabbit is about to begin and you're going to love celebrating the traditional Chinese New Year with friends and family at the
New year Fair.
To help celebrate, Perth will be hosting the Chinese New Year Fair. With entertainment, stalls, and more. There are workshops, where you get the chance to learn some cultural arts and crafts! Speaking of multicultural, there will be food stalls from all over the world. There will also be roaming performers that will entertain you as you peruse the stalls. There will even be games and rides to have a great time with. And, of course, there will be a lion and dragon dance.
With so much culture and entertainment on offer, it is impossible to contain it all in one place. That's why this fair is on many different streets so that you can really celebrate the best of the Lunar New Year without feeling too hemmed in. This is a completely free event and it is going to be very popular. Last year, there were over 20,000 attendees.
Help celebrate the diversity in Western Australia and make sure to participate in as many of the things on offer as possible. Learn all about the history and importance of the Lunar New Year and also just have some fun too.
If you want to get involved, there will be stalls at James Street and Lake Streets, Northbridge and Northbridge Piazza. You can book tickets and entry is free. If you want to participate, head to Northbridge on Sunday, January 29th between 12pm and 9pm. If you would prefer, there will also be stalls in Perth.
