Wine, that maketh glad the heart of man
Wine shows are traditionally for wines to be judged against their peers and assessed by experts in their field, who are usually the only ones to actually taste the delectable fluid.
Each year Perth Hills' Wine Region winemakers submit their wines for assessment and judgement at the regional Perth Airport Perth Hills Wine Show.

This is the only wine show in Western Australia where attendees can taste and buy the wines. "The show provides an opportunity for wine lovers to sample more than one hundred of the region's premium wines and talk to winemakers and grape growers about their products."

Fiona Lander, spokesperson for Perth Airport, the event's naming sponsor says: "We have a vibrant wine region on our door step and Perth Airport is pleased to be directly involved in recognising the work that goes into making these locally produced, premium wines and the important contribution this in turn makes to our tourism industry."
Judging will take place on September 10th with winners to be announced that evening.
The award-winning wines and many others will be available for the general public to taste at the 2014 Perth Airport Perth Hills Wine Showcase at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on October the 11th and 12th.
The show will be open from 11am to 5pm each day. The Kalamunda Agricultural Hall is at 148 Canning Road, Kalamunda. Entry is $20 at the door. (The price includes an etched glass, a catalogue and tastings).
