Come and learn the art of Persian style pickling and preserving in this fun, delicious and hands-on cooking class by free to feed. free to feed is a pop-up cooking school with all classes run by asylum seekers and refugees.This special workshop is presented by
free to feed instructor Hamed and is vegetarian and vegan friendly.
On arrival participants will be enjoy Persian sweet saffron and cardamon tea and indulge in a trio of home-made dips and freshly baked bread. Hamed will then teach you how to make his famous pickles and jams, including Persian mixed vegetables, stuffed eggplants and sour cherry jam, and a very typical Persian rose petals jam.
Everyone will get to take home what they create and learn a range of new skills that can further developed at home.Come and discover unique flavours and tastes and also hear about hear Hamed's journey to Australia from Iran.
