I consider myself rather an expert when it comes to butter chicken, having tried this dish in many restaurants throughout Australia. I discovered Persian Flavours a little over three years ago, conveniently located only fifteen minutes from where I was living at the time. I am still not sure this was a good thing, considering the number of times I have dined there only hours after declaring to my husband I had started my latest diet.
The butter chicken at Persian Flavours is very moreish. The spices are perfectly balanced with the richness of the sweet yet salty sauce. The chicken used is thigh and breast, charred nicely in the tandoor oven. For me, the quality of the chicken can easily make or break a dish. My husband and I always leave Persian Flavours feeling extremely satisfied, and best of all, the prices are fantastic. A large curry, rice and two naan will set you back little more than $20, and will comfortably feed two people.
