Perry Como Cafe is one of a new breed of Cafe & Wines Bars that have become so popular. Beginning at 7 am weekdays or 8 am on the weekends for breakfast with house-made offerings such as Bircher Muesli, Chorizo Baked Beans and Eggs, or perhaps you'd prefer cornbread; there is plenty of variety for every palate. There are also plenty of vegan and gluten free options. It is open until 9pm except on Friday and Saturday when it stays open until 11pm.
A mixture of on street, garden, bar and restaurant dining spaces something to suit every occasion.
Situated in Parkdale, almost at the end of the shopping strip just opposite the Parkdale Station, it is a hidden gem that shouldn't be left just to the locals. A converted house it offers indoor, outdoor and on street dining. The indoor areas are comprised of a traditional bar or coffee shop and for those who desire more sophistication, there is also a separate area for more formal dining.
Order the special of the day, you wont be disappointed or perhaps you would prefer something from the menu such as Pork Ragout with Grilled Polenta.
Feel free to choose the area of the cafe to achieve the experience of your choice. On offer is an extensive wine list and cocktail menu. But if you're there with young ones during the day, perhaps the Kiddies Hot Chocolate or babychino would be more appropriate.
The choice of beverage is yours, but who doesn't love a hot chocolate.
