Burger 10 is a restaurant in Glebe serving up gourmet burgers like nowhere else and now you can experience flavours of the world with a special lunch time deal for two. For a limited time, give your taste buds a treat and get two burgers, two cans of drink and one regular chips for just $20.
This is an offer too good to miss out on, saving you 37% off regular prices. Considering this restaurant won two awards for excellence in one night, the 2016 City of Sydney Business of the Year and Outstanding Fast Food and Takeaway by Inner West Local Business Awards, it's a promotion of great value.
Not only are you saving money, you're taking your palate on a journey. The 10 in the name of the restaurant stands for 10 flavours, 10 countries, 10 burgers. Each burger uses the freshest produce locally sourced with all burgers being grilled, making them healthier than your average burger. The countries represented here are Japan, Thailand, Australia, America, Morocco, Lebanon, Italy, Greece, China and Mexico. That's a broad range to choose from and chef Hussein Jaber has crafted some very special burgers that are authentic to the traditions of each country.
Have you ever had sushi rice on a burger? Likely not but along with Sake marinated Grass-fed Beef, Tofu, Fried Eggs, Sushi Nori Crisps, Garlic and Wasabi Espuma – that's Japan on a plate. Or how about a new take on the chunky beef pie? Yes that's the Aussie gourmet burger at Burger 10 with Red Wine braised Grass-fed Beef Chunks, Shaved Ham, Mushrooms, Sauerkraut, Rocket and Roasted Garlic Cheese Sauce.
Hubby and I recently visited this establishment to try out some different flavours. I have never had Moroccan food before so I went with their specialty Chicken Steak burger, consisting of Chermoula-spiced Chicken Breast, Roasted Pumpkin, Tomato Relish, Minted Yoghurt Coleslaw and Harissa Mayo. With great flavours and the chicken plentiful, it was very filling. I especially liked the roasted pumpkin on the burger. It was a nice touch and went well with the chicken. Spicy but not too spicy, it was a good choice. Morocco, I love you.
My other half chose to take a journey to Mexico with the Turkey Burger, which used traditional Tortilla Bread and came with a Taco-spiced Turkey pattie, Five Beans Nacho, Avocado, Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce, Jalapeno and Pimiento Sour Cream. Beautiful and, filling too, he particularly liked the fresh and creamy avocado on it.
We also took a shared trip to Thailand with the Barramundi Fish Burger – Coconut-crusted Red Curry marinated Barramundi fish fillet, Satay Sauce, Cucumber, Carrot, Tomato, Sweet Chilli and Lime Aioli on a Classic Burger bun. With a huge piece of fish and more wonderful flavours, it was another winner.
Covering three continents in one meal is not something you can say often, but that we did. For a full list of each countries burgers and ingredients, click on the Download Menu button on the website and salivate in anticipation of your journey.
The $20 offer is available for lunch between 12 noon and 2pm, Mondays to Thursdays, kicking off on 26th September and running for just over a month. Finishing 3rd November, you can dine in or takeaway. Burgers included in the deal are the American Classic Beef and the Lebanese Falafel. For any other country combination, add $5. The chips can be upgraded to Sweet Potato or Cajun-spiced Smoked Crispy Potato with Bacon and Cheese Sauce for an extra $4.
But that's not all. Burgers are big but the sides look good too and will have you wanting to go back again. There's salads, salmon and potato rissoles, chicken tandoori empanadas, smoked BBQ pork belly and more to choose from. A poster on the wall kept eyeing me with a new special – Cajun Potato Fries with Chilli Con Carne and Cheese Sauce. I definitely have to go back for that. There's also gourmet miniature subs, kids meals and a specialty dessert that sounds good – Classic Baked Cheesecake with Strawberry Caviar and Cream.
There's so much to delight in here with vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. Drink-wise, you'll find yoghurt smoothies, juices, a range of teas and coffee, cider, spirits, wines, and beers that can be matched to each country's burger.
The decor is pleasing and refreshing in its canary yellow, white and black tones with a rustic look on the walls and counter. Very clean and tidy with a well organised, friendly husband and wife team providing great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere.

The restaurant accepts walk-ins as well as reservations by phoning 02 8283 3878. They also deliver to selected areas.
Take a leap and wonder no more what the best burgers of the world taste like.
