1 cup of light cream, 1/2 cup of milk 1 onion, sliced. 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped 2 rashers of bacon, finely chopped 1 cup of grated cheese olive oil and butter to grease the dish
Step 1) Preheat your oven - 170 degrees for fan forced and 200 degrees for your conventional oven. Fry onion, bacon and garlic in olive oil until browned, set aside.
Step 2) Peel and finely slice your potatoes, then grease a round or square oven proof dish. Start with a bottom layer of potatoes, spread over some bacon and onion mix, then drizzle some of the cream and milk. Repeat these steps until you run out of potatoes.
Step 3) Sprinkle over the grated cheese and cover with alfoil. Cook in the oven for approximately 30 minutes then remove alfoil and place back into the oven for a further 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.
