Party your Sunday away with these live tunes by the beach
The Peregian Originals Facebook page regularly updates and gives details of which bands or artists are on for that month. Favourites include Sunshine Coast band, The Floating Bridges, and they've had such awesome local acts recently as Bobby Alu and the Palm Royale, Sunny Coast Rude Boys, The Barley Shakes, Mapstone, Asa Broomhall, Cleveland Blues, Wild Marmalade and Rhythm Hunters. There are four different amazing acts each month, and they never disappoint.
This is a free event and a great initiative held on the Sunshine Coast. It's related to the original "East Coast Originals". There are also regular events such as the Originals and Cooroy Originals. They're all fun, fresh and live.
People come along to these events with a smile on their face, a chair or a blanket and ready to party in a relaxed environment. The Peregian Originals is held in a beachside setting so on a warm day you can combine an afternoon out here with a beach swim. Families and kids are welcome and have a lot of fun.
Artists love the intense crowd vibe and beach location
They have food and drinks for sale around the area or you can bring your own. Come along and support your local music scene. Venue facilities include a skate bowl, kids play equipment, patrolled beach and toilets. Note there is not a lot of shade so bring hats on hot days.
Party at the front or lay back and relax on the grass
The dates of this event are subject to change and also dependent on weather. Please make sure you check their Facebook page for details of the event for that month due to the nature of it being outdoors.
This is a not for profit event that has been happening since the turn of the century.
Running from 1pm through to finish around 5 to 6pm this is an open air concert by the beach at Peregian Beach, Peregian, Sunshine Coast.
