It was the first time for our family going to the snow. We wanted somewhere that wasn't swamped with hundreds and hundreds of people and long queues. I found and it was perfect.



You can drive straight to the front door. The drive was very interesting going up the mountain - my car temperature went from normally where it sits, down to cold. Then the mist set in. I couldn't wait to get there.





We went in the first week out of the South Australian winter school holidays and snow came down in the second week, so unfortunately we didn't get to do the one thing I really wanted to do, which was the Dog Sleigh.







Howvere there was enough snow to try skiing and snowboarding.
We found a little patch that we could do our own thing and not get in anyone's way.



Peppers is a beautiful homely lodge. The lovely staff are friendly and when you return to the lodge, there is a nice hot chocolate you can order. Breakfast was included with eggs and bacon, cereals, coffee, juice and tea. Dinner was included in our package. It consisted of 5 courses.



Sit around the fire during the day, playing chess or going through your photos as I did. Upstairs is a small lounge where you can watch a DVD movie. The rooms are warm and cosy and internet is available.



The Lodge is private and only open to people after 4.00pm who are not staying at the Lodge. You can walk to the pub and ski hire and other areas around the village. Take what supplies as it will make things easier. It was cold but on some days, the sun came out and it was wonderful.
