One of the UK's most influential children's cartoon shows,
Peppa Pig, has been taken out of animation and developed into a special puppetry stage show
Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt, currently entertaining Australian families throughout the country.
The show recently opened at The Arts Centre in Melbourne, running from 29 October - 9 November (various time slots 10.00am, 12.30pm and 4.00pm).

Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt
Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt is filled with boundless energy and enthusiastic puppetry actors. The story follows Peppa Pig, her brother George, her beloved friends (Danny Dog, Zoe Zebra, Pedro Pony) and features Miss Rabbit, Grandad Dog and Pretty Polly Parrot, as they take a journey across mountains, forests, seas and an island, in an adventure to find treasure following a guided map.
There are plenty of interactive songs for children to sing along to, some of which are familiar tunes from Peppa Pig's TV shows.

Peppa Pig Live! Treasure Hunt
Children in the audience dance and stomp their enthusiastic little feet all the way through to performance, with a suitably timed 15 minute interval half way through the show allowing a little refresher for children and families before the show continues.
[ADVERT]Favourite parts of the performance would have to be the effective dancing luminous sea creatures during a backout section which really wowed the crowd, and seeing our well known beloved piggy and friends TV character personalities come to life on stage.
I commend the actors on their marvellous job simulating the voices of Peppa Pig and her friends in live performance, particularly the actress playing Peppa; hers is not an easy voice to replicate.
Whilst Peppa Pig and her friends may be considered a popular show for toddlers, my five year old son thoroughly enjoyed the show, and remained up on his feet dancing and singing throughout. His favourite part, he says,
"When they found the treasure"! and "The Pirate Ship".
