Rose judging here in April
The National Rose Trial Garden of Australia is coming to the Botanical Gardens in April. This is a wonderful time to come into the gardens and see what roses are doing well in our environment. The Peoples Choice also helps the growers and breeders know what roses the public would like to grow.

Judging is done on the roses that have been submitted and awards are given out. It will be a wonderful array of colours and scents. I had a walk around there today.

The event only goes over Saturday 8th April and Sunday 9th April.

You can go onto the website and download a brochure on rose growing. This is provided by The Rose Growing Society of South Australia. It shows all the information you need to plant and grow beautiful roses, including how to prune and look after them, feed them and what to do about pests.

You can stop and have a coffee and something to eat at the cafe by the pond and watch the ducks and turtles and relax in the shade after your walk around the rose gardens. Don't forget your camera. I took 55mm lens and my macro. I ended up only using my macro for a few photos only because I didn't have my tripod and today I had the shakes, so remember your tripod and lens and you will have a great day.

You will get plenty of macro shots of bees and butterflies and today I saw plenty of spiders in their webs. I had fun taking these photos today.
