A high-octane play performing now at the Blue Room
Penthouse is an intense play providing a metaphor for the high life status. It is also an exploration into the ruthless trade-offs and compromises that this insatiable race to power, money and success entail.
Through a brilliant use of space and lighting effects, the audience is given a reality that stretches beyond time and the modest stage of The Blue Room Theatre. We witness the impossible coexistence of three men with their own personal agendas.
Campbell Pollock, Isaac Diamond and Haydon Wilson bring to life a fluid ambience of greed, addiction and the numbness that wealth can afflict. The actors characterise superbly the captivating intriguing Cal, the broke addicted musician Finn and the billionaire tycoon Griffin. Who will survive once made it to the top?
Penthouse is directed and produced by Mitchell Whelan (co-founder of Lazy Yarns), who was inspired by A View From The Penthouse which premiered last year at The Blue Room Theatre. This is one of those performances not to be missed - now until the 10th of November at 7pm and from the 13th until the 17th of November at 8:30pm.
