The name of this park almost makes me think of some kind of rehabillitation program. It's a shame Gosford City Council were unable to come up with a name for this park that represents the activities it encourages or the age group it attracts.
Still, this is by far the best "recreation area" I have ever seen supported and presented by a local council. The is a multi-purpose recreation facility located at Umina Beach that incorporates a recreation building, playground, park facilities, and sporting and environmental opportunities.
[ADVERT]The architecturally designed recreation building with public amenities provides a venue for community hire for the staging of meetings, children's birthday parties, weddings, and community and corporate functions.
The sports clubhouse building additionally provides a venue for community hire for meetings, training, recreational and sporting based business activity such as fitness or organised sporting groups, community programs, and corporate meetings.
The children's play areas include a skate and basketball park, netball courts and BMX track.
The general play ground area includes a mini maze, flying fox, rock-climbing wall, and an area designed and suitable for children with disabilities.
The "precinct" is surrounded by picnic areas and parklands and boarders Umina Beach.
The cost of this park complex is in the region of 4.3 million. Well done Gosford City Council; if this recreational area was available in my council region I would be a very happy mum.
