Peninsula Link Trail

There is a whole world out there for walking, but sometimes access can be somewhat difficult if you are in wheelchair or need to take a stroller, to help little legs once tired, to get from one point to another.
The
provides a great way to take walk on even ground, that's easy for wheels - whether they be bicycles or pushers. This is also great for the fit cyclist who may want a challenge. I think if you rode from the beginning of the trail at
Patterson River in Patterson, which connects to the existing gravel
Dandenong Creek Trail (which in turn joins the
EastLink Trail) you could ride all the way to Moorooduc and the
Mt Eliza Regional Park. Most sections are sealed.
There is a map
online that you can consult if you need more details
I recently walked from Cranbourne Road to Skye Road and back. A great walk and a little different to busy suburban streets and/or a walk along rough unsealed bush trails. There is parking at the Cranbourne Road entry point of the path, next door in the Mitre 10 car park, so you can unload the kids, the bikes, the pushers and whatever you deem necessary for your journey.
No need to worry about the kids riding in traffic, it's a smooth ride the baby in the pram, and many steps for a person pushing the pram - an easy way to get fit and get everyone involved - if bikes aren't their thing how about roller skates or skateboards.
