It's about the journey not the destination
So, this weekend you've decided to take the Peninsula Link and head South of Melbourne for the day. Here's a suggestion per exit once you are down Mornington Peninsula way.

Go for a Weekend drive to the Mornington Peninsula / www.visitmorningtonpeninsula.org


Bungower Road exit

2 km) Turn right around the roundabout and travel only a couple of kilometres to Moorooduc - checkout the quaint antique and old wares building - you can spend an hour wandering around.

Mornington Tyabb Road exit:

10 minutes)Turn left and travel towards Tyabb, before you get to Tyabb, the airfield is on the right, pull in and watch many light planes landing and taking off on.

or

5 minutes)Turn right and head into Mornington, the road becomes the main street of this beautiful coastal town. Coffee shops and cafes are everywhere.

Balnarring exit:

12kms) Turn left to one of the best secrets on the Westernport side Balnarring is a thriving and beautiful town and the gateway to Somers, Merricks, Pt Leo, Shoreham and Flinders.

or

5kms) Turn right and follow the signs to Mt Martha.

Red Hill and Flinders (old Moorooduc rod) exit

2.5kms from exit) Take the C787 exit towards Red Hill/Flinders and visit the well known Hickinbotham winery.

Dromana exit

1km) Turn left to get to Dromana 3 Drive-In, 133 Nepean Hwy

or

(2km) Turn right to get to Dromana - now with an array of beachfront cafes, bars and walking tracks alongside the bay.

Yes, the family Sunday drive can definitely be broken up along the way with Peninsula Link offering many strategic exits to explore the Mornington Peninsula.
