Be astounded at how far these birds fly
Join Rob Morris of SOSSA (Southern Ocean Seabird Study Assn.) on Tuesday the 28th of July at 7.30pm for his presentation about SOSSA's monthly trips out from Southport.

For those of you unfamiliar with this word it comes from the Greek word πελαγος- which means the open sea or ocean. So pelagic relates to or living in or on the sea or open ocean.

His talk will be about what they do and where they go.

He will explain the destination, the likely birds through the seasons and everything you might want to know about these pelagic trips. He will also give us some insight into the factors which determine the status of the variety of species that are sighted.

This is a free presentation. No need to book, just come along and learn about SOSSA and also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with some like minded people who are keen to look after the birds, the bees and everything in our environment.

The Royal Geographical Society of Queensland is at 237 Milton Road (UBD21 L1 )
