Who says you have to celebrate Australia Day on Australia Day alone? The Lions Club will be holding their annual Pegg's Park Australia Day Community Celebration this April instead.
Because of the heavy rains in January, the family fun day had to be postphoned, leaving the Lions Club with no chance but to hold it in April. But the organisers are still convinced that the community will rally behind them to support the Lion's Club Family Fun Day this April, and you are invited to join the celebration. There will be plenty to see and do, including activities for all the kids (both young and old), such as a jumping castle, merry go round, face painting, animal farm, and everyone's favorite, the peg throwing competition, or peg toss, as it is more commonly known. And remember, everything is free – so come and join in the fun.
This is the second year in a row that the event had to be postphoned, but the Lions Club President is still confident that the public will come out and enjoy the celebrations. The Lions Club regularly holds such events for the benefit of the community and to mark special occasions, so come out and support this community club, and have a great time out at the same time. There will also be plenty of food and drink on site, and free snow cones for the kids.
So invite your family and friends along for a great afternoon of fun and games. For more information, please contact the Lions Club by visiting
