I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

The
Pegasus Motel offers air-conditioned rooms, suites and apartments in a resort-style setting within walking distance of
Yamba township and beaches. The 15 rooms house a maximum of 57 guests, and they offer packages where you can book the whole hotel.

The rooms are well-appointed with coffee makers, free WiFi, Foxtel and cooking facilities. The mini bar is stocked with local delights and reasonably priced meals and dessert can be ordered from reception. Our comfortable one-bedroom suite had a separate bedroom, lounge/dining area and an enclosed patio garden area. The rooms have a retro beach vibe and the tropical gardens and pool area have a Balinese touch. There is a guest laundry, a BBQ area and a fire pit with an outdoor lounge area for socialising.

The two-bedroom apartments are perfect for families and the children would love using the pool, tennis courts, basketball hoop and vintage bicycles. The friendly people in reception are happy to give advice and suggestions for dining and activities. The location is great; on the main road about one kilometre to cafes, restaurants and beaches and across the road, there is a park with a walking/cycle path that follows the estuary to the break wall. The ferry to Iluka leaves from a wharf 650 metres away and the marina and fishing co-op are a short walk in the other direction, Angourie is about 5 km away and easy to cycle to.
