You had me at hotcakes
My recent and maiden visit to Peel St Kitchen was of course, a breakfast before work.
The service was both polite and prompt; the décor fresh and funky. It's a big dining area with trendy touches of industrial lighting pieces, cool wall paper and randomly scattered cushions. A tempting breakfast menu (available on their website) had me deliberating and salivating.
The ricotta hotcakes I ordered (thought it was time for a change from the usual winning combination of poached eggs and avo) at $14 had me satisfied, full yet still wanting more. The caramelised banana and homestyle maple syrup were a perfect combination to the golden crisp hotcakes that were presented to me. My bestie opted for the poached eggs with a side of avocado and a smoothie (served in a jar of course!).
They have taken advantage of the raw food bandwagon too and have a pleasant sounding variety of sweet treats and smoothies. Their lunch and dinner menus also look delicious with a fun fresh and vibrant feel. I will definitely be keen to return to see what else they dish up.
