Pedaling our own organic smoothie

Smoothies definitely taste better when you make them yourself and even better when you pedal them yourself. At Smoothie Cycle customers have the option of pedaling their very own smoothie.

It takes about 3 minutes of pedaling to turn all those lovely ingredients into a whirl of deliciousness (or Robbie will kindly pedal it for you). The bikes and blenders have been converted so that no power is used in the blending - that's right, these smoothies are completely self sufficient. There is even a kids' bike to keep the little ones busy and participating in their own smoothie creating.

The ingredients include a variety of seasonal organic fruits, nuts and many Latin American "superfoods" such as agave, chia seeds, maca, mesquite (don't they just sound so exotic?) Some unusual smoothies to choose from are Chai, Acai, Berry Cacao, Banana, Watermelon Ice, Bowl of Fruit Salad.

Smoothie Cycle can usually be found on Sundays at Northey Street Farmers Markets and local festivals and fairs. Get pedaling today!
