Great coffee and great views, what more is there to life?
This glorious Spring weather that we are being blessed with is the perfect reason/excuse to get out and explore your neighbourhood. We were out last weekend exploring our neighbourhood, hungry for a good feed and discovered a relatively new cafe in Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula.
Pearl Bistro has been open for less than a year and is part of the new luxury unit complex called the Scarborough which is on the same location as the old Scarborough Hotel which was damaged in a summer storm around 2011.
It has been a few years in the making but the location is ideal for a place for a cafe. Pearl Bistro overlooks the beautiful Moreton Bay and has great relaxing sea views. The cafe is situated north from the main area of Redcliffe parade and Scarborough village and so on this Sunday morning, finding a seat was very easy.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating with quite simple and clean decor. We chose to sit outdoors to get maximum views. They have an 'all day' menu and we choose from the breakfast menu. The menu items have a distinct Asian twist as they advertise - Asian fusion restaurant.
My son choose the Pearl Brekkie for $18.90 and got a hearty plate of scramble eggs, bacon, Asian styled chorizo, grilled tomatoes, carmelised onion chutney, mushrooms and sourdough. Yes, the perfect breakfast for our growing teenage son which he devoured.
The food, location and coffee were great. Unfortunately, the time taken to get our food was probably a little longer wait than we hoped for but lucky for us the day was good and the view was even better.
