Symbols of peace in nature offer serenity
Peace in the Trees Sculptural Walk in Maleny provides the community with a place to contemplate and reflect on peace. This walk is a short stroll in the Maleny Town Centre starting at the Riverside Boardwalk along Obi Obi Creek and is the beginning of the Maleny Trail.

Peace in the Trees is an installation of sandstone sculptures made by artists exploring different aspects of peace. Each sculpture sits harmoniously in nature inviting viewers to sit down, pause and reflect on thoughts on this theme conveyed by each individual artist. As one walks along the path, serenity can be easily found. You may even spot the elusive platypus along the Cambage Crossing.

The gentle paths are scenic with a lush treescape consisting of native old trees and new plantings along the way. In the winter-time, Brisbane wattles spill over the sidewalk with bright yellow flowers and a gorgeous fragrance.

This walk would not have been created without the inspiration of internationally renowned local sculptor Craig Medsen. Craig supported fellow artists by arranging the delivery of 12 tonnes of helidon sandstone teaching artists to sculpt stone.

You will find 'peace in the trees' along the Riverside boardwalk Maleny, opposite the library and behind the Salvos.
Maleny is a bright, bustly hinterland town with an active artistic community.
