Australia's only convention dedicated to gaming
Game on Melbourne! PAX Australia hits Melbourne this November, in an epic weekend dedicated exclusively to gaming. Unlike other conventions that cover the diverse pop culture genre of comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies, PAX Australia is all and only about gaming.

From a small time gathering in Bellevue, Washington, PAX has gained so much momentum that attendees doubled year after year since its inception in 2004. In 2013, PAX launched in Australia, which now sees gamers gather at the Melbourne Convention Centre each year for a convention unlike any other.

Sponsored by Harvey Norman Games Hub, the VR Freeplay area will feature dedicated HTC Vive playable areas that will include green screen VR setups and Omni treadmills, as well as Oculus Rifts and Playstation VRs.

The November weekend panel highlight is the IDGA Serious Games panel of designers and scholars, covering how games are being used to teach, heal, and change the world, showcasing some of the best and most profound, the worst and most-cringeworthy, and the most baffling serious games on the market today.

PC Area

Consoles not for you? No problem, hundreds of high-end PCs will be set up for your gaming enjoyment.

Tabletop Gaming

Board games, card games, dice games, miniatures wargames it where it's all at in the Tabletop Gaming zone. Enjoy hundreds of tabletop games suited to all levels.

Cosplay

A pop culture convention, even if it's only limited to gaming, is not a convention without Cosplay, right? Even if you aren't a cosplayer yourself, you'll be wowed by those that do dress up for the occasion.
