Paw-ty In the Park
Celebrate the four-leggeds in your life at Paw-ty in the Park on Saturday, 26 August 2023 at the Newstead Waterfront.



Paw-ty in the Park is a chance to get involved in pawrent and dog-friendly events right here in Brisbane. The Pawty will be running from 3pm to 7pm with loads of activities Including:


Add to that a visit from local food trucks and some live music.

There will also be a Book Launch and the chance to meet 'Local Author of " The Gumtree Girl Who Rescued Me", Lyndal Clark - the story of how her Frenchie (and now therapy dog) 'Muffin', changed her life.



What is International Dog Day?
It is fitting that Paw-ty in the Park will be held on International Dog Day. This special celebration of pooches was first established in 2004 by Colleen Paige as recognising dogs around the world and appreciating the companionship, loyalty and love they bring to our lives.

And just like the rest of the world, Australians undeniably love their dogs. in fact, dogs are one of Australia's most popular pets, with just over 5 million dogs across the country. Forty per cent of Australian households have at least one dog (largely unchanged since 2016, at 38%).



How do I Join the Paw - ty?
If this sounds like your perfect day out, head to Newstead which is located 3 kilometres from the Brisbane Central Business District. To find Waterfront Park, enter via Skyring Terrace, Cunningham St, or Waterloo St, Newstead. While the event is FREE, tickets are required. So, grab your leads, put on a bandana and head to Paw-ty in the Park this August.
