By joining in and receiving donations for
PAWGUST, you'll be directly helping support Guide Dog puppies currently in training.
One day, with your help, these very special puppies will go on to be the guiding eyes for people in your local community living with vision loss or blindness.

A quality leather collar for a Guide Dog pup in training. ($22.00)
A folding white cane for someone living with vision loss. ($54.00)
A grooming kit and a bundle of enrichment toys for a puppy raiser. ($85.00)
A new Guide Dog user with a Guide Dog instructor for one hour. ($175.00)
A harness for a working Guide Dog. ($290.00)

Guide Dogs Australia believe that vision loss will not and should not limit a person's independence.
They provide assistance to anyone with vision loss, no matter what age or level of vision and they work to ensure that people with low vision or blindness are active and involved members of the community.
They breed, raise and train dogs.
They have orientation and mobility services include the development of skills in the use of long canes, guide dogs and other mobility aids.
In some states across Australia they provide Autism Assistance Dogs, Therapy Dogs, and Companion Dogs.
They teach people with vision loss daily living skills which offset the impacts of vision loss through skills development and specialised equipment.
They provide training on the use of adaptive technology and specialist equipment which facilitate continued access to information, social and community activities.
They support clients in navigating funding.
They advocate on behalf of their clients to make the community an easier place in which to live and work.
