On the lookout for a great doggy event that doubles up as a worthwhile fundraiser? Well, look no further, because the Redland Animal Shelter has done all the hard work for you to put the 'fun' in fundraiser, at their upcoming 'Paw-toberfest' event!
The event is held on Saturday October 14th - it kicks off at 10am and keeps going until Paw-toberfest wraps up at 2pm. That's four whole hours worth of fun! Bring the whole family along, children and furkids alike, and enjoy a range of free activities and workshops, including:
Workshops from accredited vets and animal trainers
Market stalls - including stalls that cater specifically for pets, such as accessories and treats
Furthermore, Redland Animal Shelter will be offering pet microchipping at an extremely discounted rate of just $20! Having your pet microchipped is very important - if your pet cat or dog becomes lost, you are far more likely to be reunited if they are microchipped. The chip itself is very small, and does not cause any pain or discomfort for your pet.
Of course, seeing as the event is run at a shelter, there will also be animals up for adoption. Choose to adopt and save a life, and give these loving furbabies a chance of a forever home.

It's going to be a fun day out - for the whole family! So mark it down in your diaries, schedules, and calendars - and be prepared to have a great afternoon!
More information about the Redland Animal Shelter
Redland City Council's animal shelter provides a safe environment for homeless, lost or abandoned animals. Through their service, lost and found animals are kept off the streets and are kept safe, which both minimise the risk to these animals and any adverse impact on the community and the environment that they may have caused.
Animals that are surrendered or impounded and not claimed by their owners are given a second chance to find a new family through an adoption program. They also run a volunteer program for people interested in offering their time to assist at the animal shelter - a very worthwhile cause for someone who loves animals and has some free time on their hands!
