Six years ago, Pause Fest founder and creative director George Hedon saw an opportunity to start bringing together a new breed of thinkers and doers to our doorstep. Excelling in design, advertising, festival and events himself, he's created award-winning campaigns for organisations like Heineken, Target, Sony PS and Puma. With such a creative force at the helm, Pause Fest attracts major brands, agencies, corporate, and local government and continues to support the growth of Australian born startups and enterprises.

Driven to build a melting pot of people from all industries to share the passion and find purpose, the festival is an opportunity to 'Pause'. This ethos has seen Pause, an essential part of Melbourne's digital culture, become the premier creative tech conference and festival for the Asia Pacific region. It's gone from a few hundred attendees in its first year to over 12,000 last year.
