2015 Pastellist of the Year: Jan Hodgson "Dive In"

Each year, the Pastel Society of Australia Inc. celebrates their Members' talents by holding a week long exhibition of their finest works.

This year's Pastellist of the Year Awards Exhibition will take place from 5th to 10th July 2016 at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Auditorium. This FREE event showcases over 100 pastel works by talented local and interstate artists.

This year's judge is Judy Drew, a renowned pastel artist from Melbourne. As part of the Opening Event festivities on Tuesday 5th July, Judy will announce the prestigious Pastel Society of Australia "Pastellist of the Year" Award and will also present an engaging demonstration centring on how to paint figures with pastel. All are welcome to attend the Opening Event; drinks and nibbles will be served from 5pm, with the event commencing at 6pm.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday 5th July to Saturday 9th July from 10am to 4pm and Sunday 10th July from 10am to 2pm. Complementing the display are demonstrations by Master Pastellists every day from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th July, 10:30am to noon.
