If you are on a diet or someone on a health kick, then I would not read any further, as this place is the temptation to rival all temptations.

One of Brisbane's favourite dessert cafés, , has now bought its sweet sugary goodness to the Gold Coast, with a new store recently opened in Robina Town Centre Mall , and a further one to open soon on Marine Parade in Coolangatta.

It combines a traditional English high tea house, Parisian patisserie and Belgian chocolatier - celebrating all that is tasty from some of the chiocest places in Europe.

They offer decadent high teas featuring an array of ribbon sandwiches, freshly baked scones, French macarons, cakes and a tempting array of chocolates. I haven't had a chance to try one of the high teas yet, but I have subtly watched others enjoy theirs, (translated as drooling at it longingly) and it looked just gorgeous. I have tried the fresh scones and a couple of their treats and it's just delicious. The site of the glass case full of treats is enough to break any diet or best laid healthy plan.

Pricewise it isn't that cheap, but then, it is supposed to be a luxurious treat rather than an everyday thing, so once in a while it is totally fine.

Menu Examples:
Banana Crunch Waffles - $14.95
Chocolate Fondant - $14.95
Strawberry Dipping Pot - $9.95
Chocolate Fondue - $19.95
Belgian Bites - $13.95
The Belgravia (4 pre selected sweets) - $26.95
Devonshire Tea - $14.95
Sticky Date Pudding - $14.95

They offer all sorts of teas and coffees to accompany the treats, with free refills on the tea. My mocha coffee was great, smooth and creamy and the mini cheesecake was melt-in-the-mouth yummy - it was the perfect way to unwind at the end of a busy day.

They offer a number of styles of high tea such as the classic cream tea with scones with jam and cream, a full high tea with scones, sandwiches and tasty fancies and the chocolate lovers high tea with sandwiches and tonnes of chocolate treats such as truffles and macarons. Mmm.

They also offer for the little ones a teddy bears picnic high tea which consists of two finger sandwiches, biscuits, a macaron and juice or baby chino, very cute. I was supposed to take a photo of this, however in the time it took to get my phone out, my niece (and her parents) had devoured it. But take my word, presented on its own silver stand, it was very sweet. It would be a lovely idea for a girl's birthday party.

Located on the lower floor of the mall just outside the David Jones entrance, whether for a special occasion or simply just to treat yourself, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea and sample some edible luxury. You can also buy boxes of treats and cakes which would make a great birthday or Christmas gift - that's if you don't eat it on the way home.

My only improvement would be that it was located in some beautiful beachfront venue - but hey, you can't have everything.

They are open Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 5:30pm and on Sundays 10am to 4pm. Head down and give it a try, you won't be disappointed, although your personal trainer may be.

Bookings for any of the high teas, especially for larger groups, can be made online.
