Located on Bourke St, somewhat near Chinatown, is Passionflower , a contemporary ice-cream parlour, which effortlessly portrays itself as the go to place, for ice cream and dessert lovers. Passionflower is unique in that it boasts a variety, if somewhat superfluous amounts of exotic ice creams, many with an Asian twist.

Superfluous indeed, as the menu comprising of ice creams seem more catalogue-like in my opinion; there's just simply too much ice cream to choose from. If you're like me, a visit to Passionflower will leave you having almost a mid-life crisis over whether to get the tiramisu or the banana crepes caramelised banana crepes . I ultimately chose the crepe when I was there, but even to this day I still think about the tiramisu that got away.

However, for most people, having a lot to choose from is a plus. The ability to purchase Asian-styled ice creams such as black sesame and coconut ice creams, pandan ice creams, durian ice creams and green tea ice creams, in addition generic flavours like chocolate and strawberry, is a sure sign that you'll won't be able to not find what you want. By the way, Passionflower also sells coffee, but really, who would want to be seen drinking a latte within a sea of chocolate and strawberry sundaes and green tea ice creams?
