Tucked away in Kingsley Shopping Village is a small gourmet deli with a big heart. Passione Gourmet Deli is the brain child of a Canadian and an Italian who share a passion for food, a passion that is very much evident in their extraordinary range of gourmet delights from around the world.
As with most gourmet delis Passione starts with a good range of salads, antipasto and lunch rolls. The difference here is it is all 100% homemade every day (and they actually mean it). The pasta and potato salads are impressive and I'm yet to find a better roll in Perth.
If you aren't in the mood to cook there is a range of ready made meals to take home including pizzas and lasagnes. Dessert is catered for too. High quality Italian gelato and pastries as well as a good range of cheeses at prices that aren't as ridiculous as most other delis.
Deals on offer include the following: Large continental roll and drink for $8 XXL Chook stuffed with sundried tomato, garlic and sage for $15 Large pizza & two salads for $19.99 Lasagne with two salads or roast vegies for $22.99 Family Quiche with two salds or vegies for $22.99
One thing Passione Gourmet Deli has excelled at is coffee. They regularly have people coming from all over Perth just for a morning pick me up. There is some seating inside and out so you can even order food and make a breakfast date out of it.
Besides all this Passione also sells gourmet cooking instruments, cutlery, cooking books, drinks and a healthy range of sweets and treats that are very hard to find elsewhere.
If this wasn't enough Passione can even offer you something no one else can! For just $20 per head you can have a woodfired oven towed to your place by Vespa, along with pizza maker David to make sure each pizza comes out just perfect.
So if you want a big range of great food and decent prices Passione is a must stop. Everything is made by people who care about food and people more than they do money which is very VERY rare to find these days, that alone should be worth supporting.
Went to check this place out a few weeks ago. You are right, there are lots of goodies to choose from. Downside, no prices on anything!!!!! One has to ask at the busy counter for every item you look at which isn't the norm. Went home empty handed.
