We were very intrigued with this restaurant and had been looking for an opportunity to go and try it for ourselves. We were also very excited about a new and exciting restaurant that was so close to home. The opportunity to eat lunch here, arose over the weekend for my husband, son and myself.
We had heard some very mixed reviews of the restaurant and we were fascinated by the name of the restaurant: Passion on a Plate. Would it live up to its name?
The location of the restaurant is overlooking the Redcliffe Jetty and on such a beautiful Spring day, there is no better place to be. The views of Moreton Bay are very lovely and relaxing to say the least.
The meals took a little longer but with the views and the company, the wait was pleasant. And the wait was worth it for when the meals arrived, it was 'passion on a plate'. The meals looked and smelt wonderful and quite substantial for lunch time meals.
Conversation turned to silence as we tucked into our meals and savoured the taste, sights and flavour of our dishes. Yes we were glad we had the time to try out this new local restaurant for ourselves. We will spreading the word to our friends and family about how good it is.
It is opened for lunch Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 to 2.30 and dinner from 6pm. It is also opened for breakfast and lunch on Sunday from 9am. It is licensed and there is street parking, though it maybe a little busy on Sundays due to the Redcliffe jetty markets.
Passion on a Plate was perfect for our leisurely and relaxing Sunday lunch. Definitely a place to add to our list of local 'go to' restaurants. The dessert menu looked and sounded good and worth a trip back for coffee and cake. Passion well spent!
I walk past this place just about everyday on my way to work or on my way home. I've often thought of getting a meal there (and doing a review) but the entrance just was not welcoming enough. I'll certainly make the effort now I know what's inside.
I have become a regular at Passion on a Plate since we first visited only a week after it opened. Always excellent service, staff have a sense of humour (hence the mixed reviews, I guess some people don't agree with happy, fun wait staff) which we love and the food is absolutely amazing!!
