Situated in the heart of Newtown, located approximately four kilometres south-west of the Sydney CBD, is one of Sydney's most loved Turkish restaurants. Pasha's has been offering the culinary delights and traditional cultural experience of Turkey since 1975.
Upon entering the restaurant, you cannot help but immediately admire the authentic Turkish surroundings, including decorative lamps, patterned floor rugs and elaborately tiled tables. The restaurant features a large, spacious downstairs room, as well as upstairs and outdoor courtyard dining. To further add to the authenticity and cultural experience, you can also choose to dine at one of the lower positioned tables with large, elegant cushions for seating, a traditional custom of Turkey.
Pasha's provides its' guests with the excellent entertainment of a Turkish belly-dancer on Friday and Saturday nights at 8.30 p.m. The dancer not only puts on a great show, but also interacts with the audience, allowing you to either sit back and relax or join her with some dance moves of your own.
Some of the popular and perfect starters to your meal include: pan-fried haloumi cheese, vine leaves and Mediterranean style meatballs served with flavoured blanched beans. Pasha's also serves exceptional, mouth-watering mains such as: lamb or chicken sis, chicken topkapi, stuffed cabbage roll with fresh herb marinated lamb cutlets, and much more.
Why not finish your night off with a traditional Turkish coffee or tea? The apple tea is especially unique and popular amongst diners for its' aroma-filled, sweet taste - the perfect accompaniment to any dessert.
All in all, Pasha's Turkish Restaurant in Newtown offers an authentic cultural experience which is hard to find elsewhere. Ideal for families, friends or couples, you are guaranteed to have a wonderful night filled with amazing entertainment and five-star quality food.
