I initially fell in love with a photo of the Rustic Chocolate Stove dessert and just had to try it for myself, but I discovered that there was more to Pascale Bar and Grill than just the dessert and I loved every minute of it.
Situated where the old Greater Union Cinema used to be on Russell Street, QT hotel is relatively new to town and up to now, my opinion in general about restaurants attached to hotels is that they are pretty nondescript and not worth visiting unless you are actually staying in the hotel.
However I had found a photo online of a chocolate stove dessert and that was enough to tempt me to give this place a try.
I simply loved it. I loved the overall look of the restaurant, the chairs were comfortable, the tables weren't all squished into a small space, so it added to my feelings of elegant comfort. Carpeting kept the noise down so it was easy to chat, the servers were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu had a good range of dishes. I wanted to try lots of them and the dessert just topped off a wonderful evening.
The entrance to QT is pretty cool and worth a look around by itself. There is also a bar area that I didn't get the chance to check out.

The staircase entrance to the restaurant was impressive with a unique looking wall made out of old books

The restaurant has got comfortable chairs and enough space to move
As there was so many mouth watering dishes we wanted to try, we decided on having 3 courses and indulging ourselves. The starters were just the right size, fresh and tasty.

The crab cakes for starters were so yummy and beautifully presented

My fig and cheese salad was a fresh and a delicious feast for the eyes and taste buds!
The mains were generous and the cutlet and fresh fish dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. They also came out promptly after our starters so we weren't left waiting for the next dish.

For the meat lover - a deliciously cooked cutlet
And finally the dessert - sooo worth it! My little stove looked as good as it tasted, with little edible bowls (and spoons) of chocolate, caramel and raspberry sauce and it was just the right size to stop being overloaded with sweetness.

The reason for my visit - Rustic Chocolate Stove
We never felt rushed throughout our meal and the comfortable chairs, top service and atmosphere led to us spending quality time and having a very relaxing, delicious and enjoyable meal.
Although it may be a more expensive meal than other places, it is a great place to go for a special night out with friends, to celebrate a special occasion or anniversary or just go and treat yourselves.
I'm already planning on going back as there are more dishes to try and, well, I just can't resist having that dessert again.
